HARROGATE HOUSE POLICIES
Check-In/Check-out times: The check-in time is between 4:00 pm and 6pm, and check-out time is 11 am. Parking is available on the property from 1pm. Late checkout requests may be requested but are not guaranteed. Please note that an additional charge of $50 for every 2 hours will apply.
Minimum Stay: A minimum stay of 2 nights (3 nights on long weekends) is usually required from May 1st- October 31st. However, we do open up single night bookings closer to the date of arrival, if available.
Payment Policy: A credit card number with expiry date is required to confirm reservations. The expiry date must be later than the date of arrival so please check before making your reservation. We accept payment by Cash, MasterCard & Visa. All reservations require a credit card to be provide at check-in. All reservation payments will be charged to your card 14 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations and changes made more than 14 days prior to arrival is free (See group bookings section for exception). Less than 14 days the cost to cancel or change is 100% of the value of your stay. We highly recommend purchasing Trip Cancellation Insurance as our cancellation policy holds no matter the reason (except Covid restrictions by government). As a small business, we have to strictly enforce this policy.
Minimum Age Requirements: All guests must be 21 years or older to book a guest room at the Harrogate House Inn. A valid photo ID may be requested at the time of check-in for age verification. Harrogate House Inn stays are tailored for adults and therefore, we reserve the right to decline entry to any person below the age of 12 unless agreed by us in writing before arrival.
Room Rates: Room rates are listed for single/ double occupancy and include breakfast and complimentary parking for one car per room. Additional guests in the room (The York) will incur a charge of $95.00 per night, per person. Unfortunately additional vehicles cannot be accommodated.
Taxes: Hotel stays in Niagara-on-the-Lake are subject to HST (13% Canadian Government Taxes).
Smoking/Pet/Incense/Candles Policy: Harrogate House Inn is a 100% non-smoking, candle/Incense burning and pet free property. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the white picket fences that surround the property. Failure to abide by this rule may result in you being asked to leave the property forfeiting any refund. Harrogate House Inn reserves the right to charge a minimum $450 cleaning fee plus the cost of lost revenue should the room be out of service for cleaning.
Group Bookings: A group booking is any booking of two(2) or more rooms. Group bookings of three (3) or more rooms requires a 50% deposit at the time of booking.
Group Booking Cancellations:
Two (2) room group bookings - Cancellation and changes made more than 3 weeks (21 days) before the arrival date will incur a $75 cancellation fee per room. Any cancellation or change within the notice period will result in a 100% of the value of your stay.
Three (3) and more rooms group bookings - Cancellation and changes made more than 4 weeks (28 days) before the arrival date will incur a $75 cancellation fee per room. Any cancellation or change within the notice period will result in a 100% of the value of your stay.

BOOKING MADE VIA ONLINE TRAVEL AGENCIES (BOOKING/AIRBNB/ETC)
When you book your stay via an online travel agent their cancellation/deposit policies will apply for all single room bookings. For all changes you will need to contact them directly as we cannot modify a booking directly. No group bookings will be accepted via online travel agencies and must be booked directly with the Inn.
